Tourmaline de type Paraiba de 1,79 ct. taille carrée facettée d’un bleu intense. Pierre ne présentant pas de traces de traitement et originaire du Brésil, suivant les indications du rapport du Laboratoire Français de Gemmologie (LFG). Rapport LFG du 21/02/2022 nr. 388872. Elle est découverte au milieu des années 1980 dans l'Etat de Paraiba au Brésil, qui lui donne son nom. Pierre d'un bleu rarement vu jusqu'alors, le gisement s'épuise assez rapidement. On retrouve actuellement la principale production au Mozambique. Les tourmalines paraiba du Brésil restent toutefois les pierres les plus recherchées. Celle que nous proposons dans cette vente est non seulement de cette origine demandée mais elle est d'un bleu saturé intense qui se voit encore plus rarement. C'est une pierre qui coche tous les critères d'une pierre de collection ! Expert notes: The paraiba is a recent find in the history of gemology. It was discovered in the middle of the 1980s in the Paraiba state of Brazil, hence the name. From the rarest blue seen in a stone until now, the deposit exhausts itself quite rapidly. The main production today is in Mozambique. Paraiba tourmalines of Brazil remain however the most sought-after stones. The one we are presenting to you today not only derives from this desired origin, but also from an intense saturated blue that is even more rare.
