Otsuka is schooled in Zen and the martial arts, and the warriors code of discipline and duty is one he lives and works by. He believes that life and art create each other. His balance of Eastern and Western artistic sensibilities, as well as meticulous skill, have lead him to worldwide recognition. He has exhibited at one man shows in Hawaii, New York, London, Paris, San Francisco, Tokyo. He has earned high praise, and his art can be found in public and private collections throughout the world
