AN 18K WHITE GOLD TANZANITE RING ATTRIBUTED TO NEIMAN MARCUS

TANZANITE, A BEAUTY OF ITS OWN was discovered in Arusha, Tanzania in 1967 by a gold prospector. The mineral was first identified as the blue variety of zoisite. A year later, Tiffany & Co. acquired the rights to commercialize it, naming the stone Tanzanite in honor of the only country in the world where the beautiful gem can be found. And so, Tanzanite made its grand entrance into the world stage of jewelry. Ever since, tanzanite has steadily gained followers.
Tanzanite's beauty is due, among other factors, to pleochroism. A quality that makes the stone display different colors when seen from various angles.
Exceptional is the correct adjective for this unique ring. A cushion cut, vividly colored displays blue, purple and violet, loupe clean, tanzanite is gripped by four claws, at the top of the half round shank fashioned in a single piece. The whole setting is covered in rows of beaded round brilliant cut diamonds with outstanding craftsmanship. Bright polish finish.
Note: A guard reduces the actual size of the ring, but it can easily be taken out by an expert jeweler.
1 cushion cut tanzanite approx. 22.42 ct.
135 round brilliant cut diamonds approx. 2.86 ct.
Clarity: VS1-SI2
Color: H-I
Ring Size: 5.5 with guard
Weight: 15.3 grams
