Katsunori Hamanishi (Japanese b.1949) "Division Work No. 100, " 2002, mezzotint triptych with gold leaf on paper, mounted on silk brocade to three fold Japanese screen, signed, titled, dated and numbered 1/50 in pencil to the verso. Note: "Division Work No.100" is the last print in the Division series and is the first triptych the artist made, stating "this is the masterpiece in the whole series." This print took one year to create. The subject matter is rice, Japan's staff of life. The screen form mount is unique and 1/1 in the edition of 50.  Dimensions: 34 in. total height of screen, 64 in. total length, in three sections measuring 23 in. 18 in. and 23 in. Condition: Diagonal scuff in paper, left panel, in mountain area. Otherwise in good condition.
