Featured in this lot are Kit Carson Family Photographs, circa 1930s, framed. Lower photograph is Charles Christopher Carson (Charley), youngest son of the famed American frontiersman. The upper photograph features a grandson of Kit, Charles T. Wood, son of Kit's daughter Estella. Christopher Houston Carson, "Kit", was one of the Old West's most famous hunter, guide and scout. An American frontiersman, fur trapper, wilderness guide, Indian agent and U.S. Army officer. He became an American frontier legend in his own lifetime through biographies and news articles; exaggerated versions of his exploits were the subject of dime novels. Kit was known for his buffalo and bear hunting excursions, accounts of his involvement in John C. Fremont's expeditions, thrilling adventures and hair breadth escapes among the Indians and Mexicans, as well as his daring and invaluable services as a guide and scout.
