Japanese Kutani porcelain pedestal bowl of flared form, richly decorated in overglaze enamels and gilt. The exterior features alternating cartouches with figural and landscape scenes, including a fisherman and lakeside pavilions, set against densely ornamented floral grounds in iron-red, blue, yellow, and gilt. The rim and foot are accented with geometric gilt borders. The interior is decorated with a motif and a stylized polychrome border along the rim. The underside bears a red Kutani-style mark.
