VERLAINE PAUL: (1844-1896) French Poet. Considered one of the greatest in French poetry. A.N.S., P. Verlaine, one page, oblong 12mo, Paris, 25th June 1895, to Mr. Vanier, in French. The document fully written and dated in Verlaine´s hand is a receipt, stating `Received twenty five francs as settlement of the 9 pieces above for the verses volume which is being prepared at Vanier.´ further adding at the base and underneath the date `Plus five francs for a piece about Murger, therefore thirty francs.´ The present note was written by Verlaine six months before passing.
