Kishi Ganku (1749 or 1756-1839) Ganku studied painting with Mori Ransai (1740-1801) and painted in a naturalistic style, influenced by Western modes. He went to Kyoto to become a professional painter and presumably was in contact with Maruyama Okyo (1733-1795). Ganku is known for his impressive tiger paintings for which he obtained a tiger skin, skull and limbs which had been imported from China, and studied it anatomically. Hence, he could draw a tiger realistically. Shipping costs excl. statutory VAT and plus 2,5% (+VAT) shipping insurance.
