Upon hearing Nachez perform Bruch’s Violin Concerto, George Bernard Shaw remarked, “Nachez is one of the most musically intelligent violinists we have, but his technique fails him in rapid and difficult movements.” In fine condition. Romanian-born, Austrian violinist; concertmaster of the Vienna Philharmonic for more than 50 years, he was also a close friend of Brahms and the brother-in-law of Gustav Mahler.
