Group of two original oversized Type 1 promotional studio photographs featuring Barbara Stanwyck and Robert Taylor. The Barbara Stanwyck portrait is boldly signed in blue fountain pen with a personal inscription: "For Frannie Laurel(?), with every good wish for you always - Barbara Stanwyck." The verso is stamped "Hunt Stromberg presents Barbara Stanwyck as the Lady of Burlesque introducing Michael O'Shea released thru United Artists" and "From John LeRoy Johnston, Hunt Stromberg Productions, 1040 North Las Palmas, Hollywood, California." Measures 10.5" x 13.5". The Robert Taylor portrait measures 10" x 13" and shows Taylor as Sgt. Bill Dane in Bataan (1943). It includes the original affixed snipe on verso and is printed on double-weight paper. Unsigned. Barbara Stanwyck (1907–1990) was an American film and television actress whose career spanned over six decades. She was known for roles in Stella Dallas (1937), Ball of Fire (1941), and Double Indemnity (1944), and she received an Honorary Academy Award for her contributions to film. Robert Taylor (1911–1969) was one of MGM's leading men throughout the 1930s and 1940s, appearing in films such as Waterloo Bridge (1940), Bataan (1943), and Quo Vadis (1951). Condition Good condition. Stanwyck photo shows creasing to all four corners. Taylor photo presents cleanly with minor age handling wear. Both printed on oversized double-weight paper with studio markings intact.
