Fantastic group of 22 original 1930s–1940s vintage promotional photographs, each featuring a printed facsimile autograph of a legendary Hollywood leading lady. These glossy studio-issued prints measure approx. 8"x10" and were distributed by major film studios like MGM, 20th Century Fox, Warner Bros., Paramount, Columbia Pictures, First National, and others as promotional giveaways or mail-order fan items. Several images are tinted, and many are formal portrait-style shots produced specifically for autograph and publicity circulation. Included in this group is a particularly rare Universal Studios order form for Deanna Durbin promotional photographs, illustrating how these prints were offered to fans and theater patrons during the Golden Age of Hollywood.
