Circa 1786. Autograph letter signed by Jonathan Trumbull Jr. 1 pg., folio. Jonathan Trumbull Jr. (1740-1809) writes to the commander of the Snow Neptune and discusses shipping instructions and the West Indies. Trumbull Jr. served as aide-de-camp to General George Washington during the Revolutionary War. He would go on to have a distinguished political career, serving in the Congress and as Governor of Connecticut.
