Also on board was Archibald Leach (later Cary Grant), who saw the couple on board on one of their rare appearances out of their cabin, having been mobbed all the way round Europe (It is reputed Pickford is said to have been kissed over 2,000 times and 16-year old Leach had admired Fairbanks sun-tan so much that Cary Grant always sported a sun tan thereafter) 26cms
