작품 상세

Fine John Riggins autographed Washington Redskins professional model sideline jacket c.1970-80s. Heavy gauge maroon jacket with gold and white trim as worn by Riggins over a long period of time with Washington having embroidered team insignia on front with uniform number "44" in gold/white tackle twill affied to right sleeve. John P. Gilmore Co. manufacturer's label inside the collar area with size 50 flag tag and "John Riggins" chain stitched strip tag is found inside the tail area. The jacket shows superb use and became a particular favorite to Riggins who had the team equipment manager stitch leather patches onto the top of each shoulder to reinforce previous areas of wear. Interestingly, very heavy wear to the interior cotton lining around the back area which Riggins relayed was due to Riggins leaving the jacket too close to the sideline heater during a game in Philadelphia. Signed in gold paint pen on the left sleeve adding "Game Day Warm up jacket". Includes auction LOA from JSA (autograph), LOA from Hunt Auctions (jacket), and signed letter of provenance from John Riggins: VG-VG/EX
