Group of three original 1938 Shirley Temple promotional items from 20th Century Fox. Includes two color lithographic portrait prints of Temple, each bearing her facsimile signature. Both portraits were studio-issued as part of a national campaign during Temple’s peak film years. Also included is a 9"x9" cotton handkerchief featuring a printed portrait of Temple along with her facsimile signature and decorative border stitching. Provenance: Items in this lot were originally provided to the Fox Theater in Pittsburgh, Kansas, where they were displayed promotionally during film runs. They were salvaged by the theater’s manager throughout the 1940s, 1950s, and 1960s, and have been preserved in the family’s private archive for decades. Condition: All three items in very good condition. The handkerchief exhibits general foxing but is free of tears. One litho has a small edge tear, and the other shows minor corner loss at the upper left.
