This is an exceptionally rare offering of two original uncut printer proof sheets from the legendary 1993 Marvel Masterpieces card series produced by SkyBox, showcasing both the front and back artwork for several of Marvel’s most iconic superheroes. These 24.5” x 18” full-color press sheets represent pre-production proofs, never intended for public sale, and include characters such as Spider-Man, Hulk, Wolverine, and Captain America - each hero featured in vibrant, early 1990s comic-style illustrations that defined a generation of trading cards. The front-facing sheet displays five full horizontal rows of cards featuring dynamic artwork: the top row includes a powerful image of the Hulk (with brilliant neon greens and purples); the second row highlights Wolverine in his classic yellow costume; the third features Spider-Man tangled in a web of kinetic line art; and the bottom two rows showcase Captain America alongside a patriotic bald eagle - a dramatic and unique design from this series. Every image is printed with rich saturation and professional fidelity, preserved with sharp registration and printing guides clearly intact, which further confirms its authentic pre-production origin. The reverse sheet reveals detailed bios and classic comic book covers for each hero, including reproductions of Amazing Fantasy #15, Incredible Hulk #1, and Wolverine #1. These backs also promote the then-upcoming Marvel Masterpieces release (October 1993), making this sheet historically significant as both a promotional marketing piece and a production artifact. Condition is excellent overall, with bright, unfaded color, sharp corners, and no rips, bends, or moisture damage - highly unusual for proof sheets of this vintage. Each sheet retains original printer crop marks and CMYK color bars, essential for serious collectors seeking authentic production memorabilia. These are museum-worthy pieces that would be stunning framed side by side or displayed in a Marvel-themed collection, comic shop, or gallery setting. Uncut proof sheets like this - especially with both front and back versions preserved together - are extremely scarce. Most were destroyed or archived internally at SkyBox. Very few have surfaced on the market in this pristine state.
