CHARLES W. LINDBERG (1920 - 2007) Marine who was part of the combat patrol that climbed Mount Suribachi and raised the first of two U.S. flags on the summit during the Battle of Iwo Jima. S.P. 11" x 14" b/w, a montage of six photos of scenes from Iwo Jima, including the flag-raising, signed at top in blue ink. Very good.
