A continental cavalry OR’s sword, straight fullered blade 32”, with maker’s mark “FH” in oval at forte, plain brass hilt with crossguard and bud quillon, shellguard on the outer side, knucklebow, ball pommel, swollen simulated wirebound grip, in its steel scabbard with frog hook and chape. GC (some service wear, and dark pitting, old black paint to scabbard).
