cut-and-thrust sword is a Elizabethan Artillery officer's sword. Crafted in Toledo, Spain, the hilt is made of ebony, and is wrapped in copper wire (a small part of the wire near the cross-guard is coming unwrapped; see photo #5), 1800's. The blade measures 29 7/8 inches and the hilt and cross-guard 5 1/2 inches, making the sword just under 3 feet long. Very good vintage condition, blade in hilt is tight.
