United States Scarlet wool coat with gold braid sewn on the chest, collar, and cuffs, white piping on the front and around the collar, gilt brass Marine Corps buttons, a medal on the left chest with an eagle over a disk marked "SEMPER FIDELIS USMC", with rare bullion tape chevrons on both sleeves, a pair of white cotton gloves in the pocket, and a pair of light blue doeskin trousers with a red stripe on each out seam. Note: Edmond DeMar enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1935 and in 1936 was sent to Marine Barracks Washington to be a member of the band. He served in the Pacific during WWII, and in 1949 was selected to be the 28th Drum Major for the U.S. Marine Corps.
