United States Navy circa 1990 - 1991 Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron (light) 33, Det. 8 ( Detachment 8) "90 Days in the Hole" plaque commemorating this squadron's participation in the Marine Expeditionary Force Exercises (MEFEX ) conducted with the U.S. Navy 1990 -1991. The plaque features Bart Simpson of "The Simpsons" sitting on an 8 ball "bomb" with lit fuse surrounded by the names/nicknames of the squadron members with the slogan "WE'RE DET EIGHT, WHO THE HELL ARE YOU !". Plaque measures 20" x 18 inches and is made of wood with a textured surface. Overall excellent condition with a few corner chips.  For this exercise, the squadron flew off of the USS Marvin Shields FF-1066 named after Marvin Shields, who was awarded the Medal of Honor for service in Vietnam, the only U.S. Navy Seabee recipient to ever receive this award.    In-house shipping is available.
