This is a complete m1851 officer's belt rig has a late war one piece officer belt buckle with the folded leather stitched over reinforced cloth. It has fully attached set of sword straps. All the fittings are brass and the leather shows some breaks that are holding on because of the reinforced cloth. The later war buckle is marked 488 which matches the keeper's mark. Buckle is one piece construction. In spite of leather breaks on the belt and straps, this belt is still somewhat supple and very serviceable for display.
