Sculpture depicting a Corinthian or Spartan helmet, so called because it originated in the Greek city of Corinth. It was introduced to ancient Rome by the Etruscans, who used it, and it seems that the design of modern military helmets also derives from it. Made of gray Bardiglio marble and placed on a detachable Roman travertine base. Dimensions: height including base 29 x 26 x 16 cm, 10 kg.
