Polish Officers Zischagge Armour, 17th Century and LaterHelmet a single piece round skull with lobster tail, forward visor, cheek plates pierced with brass trim and replaced nasal guard with matching brass trim. The skull has been XRF tested and shows no obvious signs of being later. The nasal, brass trim a 19th century or later replacement. Siege weight breastplate with later fine stippled and embossed brass trim throughout. The anime breastplate of the period. Obvious signs of age and hand hammer marks tio the reverse with hand cut edges. Backplate a single piece in lighter gauge steel with signs of hand hammering. Leathers and brass trim replaced. Helmet measures approx. 5.5" high (not including the ears). Overall width is 7 5/8" x 8 1/4" (side-to-side). Ears are 5". Armor measures approx. 16" high with 13" shoulder width.
