Fantastic Massive French Napoleonic era ''CORPS IMPERIAL DU GENIE'' Pioneer Axe with 2 Broad Extra Blades. A truly spectacular massive example of the Pioneer's or Sapper's ax, with its powerful heavy head of distinctive form, equipped with two large broad sword or dagger like double-edged blades for the broad variety of military and survival tasks. One side with regiment designation engraved or struck in large font. Mounted with its original strong wooden haft retaining remains of now worn original fabric cover with brass tacks decorations. A very exciting and seldom encountered weapon of the Napoleon's Army troops.
