Long Eastern European thrusting sword of estoc, associated with Polish–Hungarian cavalry traditions of the 17th century. The weapon features a very long, stiff straight blade intended primarily for the thrust, with visible age patina throughout. At the forte appears a struck maker’s stamp (small square/diamond cartouche), and the blade is further embellished with a distinctive punched decoration consisting of a wavy/serpentine line punctuated by small rosette/star-like punches.The iron hilt is of restrained military form with a straight crossguard terminating in button finials. Notably, the grip retains a dark cloth/leather covering and is fitted with strap-like side bars/langets running up the grip and secured by a domed rivet, a feature often encountered on Eastern European functional hilts. The hilt is completed by a cap pommel with visible peen and an attached lanyard ring, consistent with field use.
