A finely engraved Persian straight sword, featuring a broad, flat, single-edged blade with a squared tip and deeply etched decoration. Both sides display figural and zoomorphic designs, including a standing warrior with a sword, a winged creature, animals amid scrollwork, and dense arabesque backgrounds typical of 19th-century Qajar-period ironwork. The crossguard of iron with short downturned quillons and a central lozenge boss. The hilt, of later replacement, is covered in dark ray-skin (shagreen) with riveted brass pins and ends in a stylized bird-head pommel form imitating earlier examples. The sword retains its original wooden scabbard, which is leather-covered and tooled with geometric chevron patterns, and is fitted with a single brass suspension band.
