Polyphon music box no. 43 D (154 reeds "Duplex"), with original base for storing the perforated plates, Wilhelminian period around 1900, solid walnut and veneer with walnut root inlays, small columns, on the inside of the lid glazed lithograph "Dancing Putti in Springtime". Top of lid with floral inlay work. Lower cabinet for storing the perforated plates with original fittings, profiled top plate and ball feet. The interior contains 22 more perforated plates (39.5 cm in diameter). The beautiful musical mechanism was made by the company Polyphon-Musikwerke AG in Wahren near Leipzig. Height 110 x 64 x58 cm. The musical mechanism is not playable at the moment, because the lead weights under the combs have to be renewed, otherwise the musical device is in good condition with age-related signs of wear.
