A Montblanc fountain pen from the Donation Pen Collection, 2007 Arturo Toscanini edition. When Arturo Toscanini died in New York in 1957 at the age of almost 90, he had revolutionized the world of classical music and paved the way for emerging young musicians. Montblanc aims to continue this path with the "Arturo Toscanini" Donation Pen. The pen is crafted from black precious resin and features platinum-plated mounts. The clip is shaped like the strings and winding of a cello. The nib is made of 18-carat gold. The pen comes with its original box and service booklet. This edition also includes an exclusive medal featuring Toscanini's portrait, based on a bas-relief by the Italian sculptor Leonardo Bistolfi. The reverse of the medal is adorned with Toscanini's signature and the dates of birth and death.
