PAIR MONUMENTAL CHINESE FAMILLE ROSE PALACE VASES. - In the Cantonese style decorated with elaborate vignettes showing an exhibition of martial arts acuity and dramatic Chinese theatre. Other scenes include displays of flowers, birds and butterflies. Reserves are framed with Greek key meander and butterflies. Two pairs of applied gilded dragons rest on the shoulders; opposing pair of faux dragon handles on either side. Includes 16"H wooden stands, with 13" elevation . Marked on base with seal depicting the Guangxu Period (1875-1908) but likely made in Hong Kong, 2nd Quarter-mid-20th century. Very good condition. 5'2"H x 23"W, without stands.
