Zhou Brothers (b. 1952 and 1957) Childhood Dreams, 1990. Oil and mixed media on canvas. 30 x 78/5 x 1.75" (triptych). The Chinese brothers, born in 1952 and 1957, collaborate on their paintings, performances and sculptures. In 1986, the brothers settled in Chicago where they continue to reside today. The cliff paintings in Fa Shan had a great influence on their work, as evidenced in the triptych presented here today. In 2011, the brothers were invited by the White House to present state gifts between President Barack Obama and President Hu Jintao of China.
