Elfi Schuselka (Austrian, b. 1940), Untitled, Plaster and Acrylic Wall Sculpture, 1982, abstract triangular form, signed to verso. 19.5" H x 23" D x 4" D. Provenance: Property from the estate of the artist. Note: Elfi Schuselka studied photography, art history, and theater at Vienna University. She moved to New York in 1964. Her work has been exhibited internationally including at the Brooklyn Museum, New York, United States, Italy, France, Cracovia Biennial, Yugoslavia, Ibiza Biennial,Spain, Japan, and Sao Paulo Biennial. Her work is part of the permanent collection of MoMA, New York, NY, Amon Carter Museum of American Art, Forth Worth, TX and International Centre of Graphic Arts, Slovenia. Long a regular exhibitor at the famed 55 Mercer Gallery, Schuselka is well-known in New York art circles together with her husband, the artist Domenick Capobianco (American, b. 1938).
