Design for a diploma of the Athletic Club Prague, 1895, mixed technique – watercolor with white heightening on paper, signed and dated lower right “Vojt. Preissig 95”, dimensions within the mount cut-out 26 × 41 cm, overall sheet size 30 × 44 cm, on the reverse a label of Waldes Picture Gallery with number 1336, unframed, loose. Provenance: The artwork comes from the renowned Waldes Picture Gallery; in 1939 it was confiscated by the Gestapo, subsequently deposited in the collections of the National Gallery in Prague, and in 1996 restituted to the heirs of the industrialist Jindrich Waldes.
