San Ildefonso Pueblo, 20th century, the first signed on base "Maria and Santana", (Maria Montoya Martinez, 1887-1980 and Santana Roybal Martinez, 1909-2002), circa 1940, small olla with geometric feather design, 3 x 4-1/4 in.; the second signed somewhat illegibly on base "Juanita...", (presumably Juanita Gonzales 1909-1988), the wide mouthed bowl with deeply carved geometric designs at mouth, 3-1/2 x 6-1/2 in. Provenance: Purchased in the 1930s-40s by a railroad Executive in the Southwest; Private Collection, Asheville, North Carolina
