Kyrate Tuvahoema (1914 - 1942) "Big Horn Sheep Kachina" Gouache on Paper. Tuvahoema was a Hopi Pueblo artist. Born in 1914 at Old Oraibe, Arizona, he was a student at Indian schools at the Santa Fe Hopi Pueblo, as well as in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was well known for his depictions of Katsinas.
