A highly detailed walrus tusk diorama of a parka-clad man wrangling a caribou, his lasso having been secured round the upper portion of the left antler; the caribou stands, front feet raised and head pulled back as he fights his captor. The battling duo stands upon a polished bone base. Attributed to a Siberian Russian carver c.1972, with engraving on the underside stating "Made in U.S.S.R." Sculpture is extremely delicate and should be handled with extra care. Measures approximately 5" x 2" x 2" tall.
