GESCHZT.', scribed '78 x H' and on black pen inscribed 'SB 305' Height: 30.3 cm Very good condition Over green ground circulating pine branches in dark green and brown slip glaze partially in relief; ceramic vessels by Max Laeuger fetch up to €5,000 on the international auction market Vase in baluster shape, designed by Max Laeuger and executed by the Tonwerke Kandern in circa 1908. Over green ground circulating pine branches in dark green and brown slip glaze partially in relief. Condition: The mouth ring is restored and the base edge partially touched-up. The vase is besides that in very good condition. It is 30.3 cm in height. Max Laeuger (1864 - 1952) Max Laeuger studied at the art college in Karlsruhe from 1881 until 1884, where he later became a teaching assistant. In 1898, he became a professor for interior architecture and garden art. He was professor for figure drawing and decoration at the Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences, where he later taught architecture. He was simultaneously engaged as the head of the clay works in Kandern from 1897 until 1914 and he was an employee of Majolika manufacturing in Karlsruhe from 1921 until 1929.
