Ed Diers (American, active 1896-1931) for Rookwood Pottery (American, founded 1880). Circa 1917. An American Arts & Crafts Period pottery vase of traditional form with vellum scenic decoration depicting a landscape on tondo with tall trees and a misty background under blue and white tonal sky. Marked to underside with Rookwood mark, "XVII" for 1917, "892C" shape number, "V" for vellum, and the artist's incised signature "ED". Approximate height 9".
