ca. late 19th-early 20th century; similarly crafted as other Pennsylvania holloware chalk figures, mold formed standing horse with cast plaster-of-paris hollow body on solid molded feet, the horse with simple unbraided twine tail, watercolor painted bridle, eyes and nostrils (ear lobes), the head and neck with raised mane that is undecorated, 23"x 8"x 19 3/4"; Condition: chip to right rear hoof, the finish somewhat rushed with rough filework to mold lines
