Striking Van Briggle art pottery hanging plaque featuring a stylized “Spirit Face” or Native-inspired elder motif in relief. The elongated oval form is finished in the company’s classic blue matte glaze, exhibiting rich tonal variation from deep cobalt to soft turquoise. A pierced opening at the top allows for easy wall display. This plaque reflects Van Briggle’s mid-century period of production, when the pottery frequently revisited earlier Art Nouveau and Southwestern-inspired themes.
