Catalogue raisonne (88 pages), Bruxelles 1987, Belgium. Condition: The vase is in good condition. The silver mounts show small scratches and scattered small dents in the area of the mouth. Occasionally minor manufacture flaws. The height measures 22.3 cm. The diameter of 23.5 cm. Marius-Ernest Sabino (1878-1961) Born in Italy Marius-Ernest Sabino studied at the L'Ecole National des Arts Decoratifs and the L'Ecole de Beaux Arts in Paris. In the 1920s, he experimented with a new formula for opal glass and invented a composition which makes the glass appear cool as ice in low light, in direct light however it creates a golden light reflex.
