Jais Nielsen (Danish, 1885–1961) for Royal Copenhagen, Denmark, "Samson and the Lion with Angels" stoneware sculpture with Sung (Song Dynasty) glaze, circa 1930's. Painted three waves mark to base in blue, incised "20096" and "JAIS" all under a square of transparent glaze. Good condition. Height 11 1/4 inches (28.5 cm.) X width 8 1/2 inches (21.5 cm.).
