Large porcelain plaque: The Golden Age. KPM Berlin. 37 x 52 cm, frame: 46 x 61 cm. Fine colored painting after the painting template by Julius Hübner (1806 Oels - 1882 Dresden). The painting hung in the Gemäldegalerie Neue Meister in Dresden. Was listed as a war loss since 1945, was rediscovered in 2009 in the Simferopol Art Museum. Unsigned. Gold background in the corners, top and bottom edges. Unglazed bottom, press mark, incised mark. Profiled washed gold frame Am lateral edge small rubbing, in the upper corner scratches in the gold stock, frame partially defective. At the 1851 Brussels Art Exhibition Julius Hübner was awarded the gold medal for "The Golden Age" * Partner auction Bergmann. Provenance : estate of German nobility.
