STAMPED "SOLOMON BELL / STRASBURG / VA", SHENANDOAH VALLEY OF VIRGINIA DECORATED STONEWARE JAR, salt-glazed, "1 1/2" gallon capacity mark, cylindrical form with squared collared rim. Brushed cobalt dropped flower and feather decoration repeated twice from the shoulder. Solomon Bell (1817-1882), Strasburg, VA. 1860-1880. 11 1/4" H, 7" D rim.
