STAMPED "MT. CRAWFORD", SHENANDOAH VALLEY OF VIRGINIA DECORATED STONEWARE JAR, salt-glazed, approximately half-gallon capacity, cylindrical form with incised shoulder ring and squared rim. Brushed cobalt dropped feather decoration repeated three times below the rim. The shop of George W. Duey (1831-1903) and James Madison Shinnick (1813-1881). 1870-1880. 7 3/4" H, 5 7/8" D.
