STAMPED "MT. CRAWFORD VA.", SHENANDOAH VALLEY OF VIRGINIA DECORATED STONEWARE JAR, salt-glazed, "1" gallon capacity mark, cylindrical form with incised shoulder ring and squared rim, straight cut-off lines to the base. Brushed cobalt floral decoration repeated three times below the rim. The shop of George W. Duey (1831-1903) and James Madison Shinnick (1813-1881). 1870-1880. 10" H, 6 1/8" D.
