Original illustration, pencil and watercolor on paper, 11 x 8 inches, n.p., n.d., of a purple-tufted creature playing an exotic horn, signed ("Dr. Seuss"), framed, mounted, else fine. Amusing illustration of a fanciful beast playing an elaborate yellow horn which sprouts from the creature's nose. Musical themes were a favorite of Geisel's, who wrote a number of songs for young voices. See illustration .
