Wayne Paper/Obituary GEORGE W. McCULLOUGH, 82, died Saturday, Oct. 15, 2005, at his residence in Fort Wayne. The artist was most active in Fort Wayne, Indiana where he also lived the longest. Born in Long Beach, Calif., he received his B.F.A. and M.F.A. degrees from Iowa State University. He also studied art at the Academia Belle Arti, Florence, Italy and Academie de la Grande Chaumiere, Paris, France. He has been a local artist in Fort Wayne since 1965. He was an Art Teacher at the Fort Wayne Art Institute and Associate Professor of Art at I.P.F.W., retiring in 1984. His paintings have been in numerous galleries, exhibitions and collections in Fort Wayne, Louisville, Ky., Nice, France, Indianapolis and California. His three publications include Stencil Prints and Poems, Prints and Poems and Camping Out. He also was a Monogram Designer in the Garment District in N.Y.C., a Stained Glass Designer in California and for City Glass Company, Fort Wayne.
