Overall impeccable impression in good condition Erläuterungen / Comments Prachtvoller Frühdruck der unverstählten Platte, wohl gleich nach der Entstehung 1905 in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Künstler von Eugène Delâtre gedruckt. Die Platte ist mit scharfkantigen Ecken und noch nicht facettiert. Das Blatt besticht durch seine sehr gute Druckqualität. Manche Stellen der Kaltnadelarbeit haben noch Grat und die ganze Platte ist in einem warmen, leicht gräulichen Ton, der an einzelnen Stellen (Turban, Stirn und Brust der Salomé) mit dem Finger oder einem Lappen gewischt wurde. Brigitte Baer hebt die Seltenheit von Drucken der nicht verstählten Platte hervor. Outstanding early impression of the plate before steel-facing, probably printed immediately after its creation in 1905 in collaboration with the artist by Eugène Delâtre. The plate features sharp corners and has not yet been faceted. The sheet impresses with its very good printing quality. Some areas of the drypoint still retain burr, and the entire plate is in a warm, slightly greyish tone, which in certain places (turban, forehead and chest of Salomé) was wiped with a finger or a cloth. Brigitte Baer emphasises the rarity of impressions from the plate before steel-facing.
