François Victor Bazin (French,1897-1956), "Centaure", chromed metal. Vintage hood ornament depicting a male centaur with modern styled body with exposed muscular torso above horse hind quarters. Figure shown in the midst of shooting an arrow from his bow. Marked on circular cap "F BAZIN". Car mascot further raised on hexagonal wood base. Overall height 6.75". Height of ornament 5.5". Provenance: From the Collection of Walter and Alice Glenn, Alpharetta, Georgia.
